stb 		This is the page where I tell you about me. My name is Sam. I'm not an actual butcher.* I'm a musical genius (or so I've told myself for about 15 years), and have more musical trivia in my head than Mark McGrath. Ok, maybe not that much. Favorite bands include The Cables, the Replacements, the Smiths, the cure, Dillon Fence and The Promise Ring. Favorite individual artists include Matthew Sweet, Morrissey, Sting and Billy Bragg. Anglophile and total wuss. Guilty as charged.

Just for fun, here's a list of what will eventually be my top 10 albums, and a bit of reasoning behind the choices.

I studied English at SDSU and had a creative writing emphasis. So getting my words out in the world stew is somewhat intimidating, but I'll probably loosen up soon. Apparently all this history and linkage is me being a shyboy.

As a sort of autobiography, I'll tell the basics, in order of my perceived importance:

  • Born in Orange, CA, 1970 (About 4 miles from what was then called Anaheim Stadium. Angel fan for 34 years and counting!)
  • Moved to Colorado in the late '70's
  • Graduated HS in '88
  • Graduated college in '93 (yep, that's 5 years)
  • Married in '95
  • First child born '98
  • Second child born '00
  • Moved back to CO '02
